Why is it legal?- Abortion started to become legal in the United States back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In a legal case in 1973, called Roe vs. Wade, the decision to allow women to have the choice of having an abortion emerged.
Abortion Statistics- Most abortions occur within the first term of pregnancy. 80% of abortions are received by unmarried women. Over 20% of abortions are by teenagers who aren't even 20 years old yet. Too many abortions are progressively made more and more every year.
Abortion and the Bible- Even though it is claimed by many that abortion is not discussed in the bible, there are many clear moments throughout the bible that give mention to the importance of the life of a fetus. Most times when conception is spoken of, God says that life begins at the very beginning of that conception no matter how small. Many bible passages proceed to support this.
Types of Abortion- Abortion to some seems just and normal, but when people actually do the research on what happens in a real abortion, there is no doubt that all of these tactics seem inhumane on any life-form.
Effects of Abortion- The biggest victim of abortion is the child that is being terminated. But sometimes, people fail to see that there is another big victim because of this: the woman herself. Many physical and emotional consequences come out of the decision to get an abortion. Much of the time some of these consequences are hard to cope with, such as certain cancers, depression, and anxiety and so on.
Celebrities View on Abortion- Despite the messages we see on television about things like birth control, sleeping with anyone, and pregnant teens, many celebrities have stood out against things like this and have expressed how they feel about the importance of love and having a child.
Pro-Life Arguments- From cases of child abuse , to permanently paralyzing women, and to costing the state and country too much, there are so many reasons to why abortion is either unjust, harmful and costly. Too many problems arise from abortion and too many people are affected.
When does life truly begin?- The government states that human life begins at birth. But in reality, birth begins at the moment of conception. From that moment on, there is a living being inside the womb. Every stage of life is a miracle.
What about rape and incest?- A lot of abortions are made after a woman has been raped or unintentionally had intercourse with someone in their family. Many of the women who go through one or the other get an abortion. But it is not the baby's fault that all of this happened. As hard as dealing with that is, half of the child is the woman's, and it deserves the right to live.
